A card and a Layout

Happy 2014!  This year started out great because we rang in the new year with some great friends!  Yesterday was a football day and although our team did not win (the Iowa Hawkeyes) there were some great games played.

I'm going to start the new year with a card and a layout that I made today.

First up is the card, it's for the Fusion Card Challenge.  I chose to use both the photo and the sketch and I'm very happy with how the card turned out.

I need to do more scrapbooking this year, I am 6 years behind.  The bad part about it is that my memory is horrible, I don't remember the specifics of most of the events.  Oh well, at least I've got pictures for my kids to see and they love to look at their scrapbooks.

Speaking of pictures, that's one of my New Year's resolutions.  I want to take more pictures this year.  I've been so behind in the scrapbooking that I have only taken pictures of special events.  I want more everyday photos, the year goes by so fast and my kids are now 7 and 10 and it just seems that they get older too quickly.

Well, that's all for me today, thanks for stopping by!

  3. You should do a page with your daughter now with the same French braids...wouldn't that be cute? I love your card...the scoring is perfect for the challenge and I love the contrast of the orange and bright white flowers.

  5. Yep, I'm about the same amount of time behind! But, Shutterfly is having a free 101 prints sale this weekend that I'm hoping will prompt me to get back into scrapbooking. My neighbor is also going to keep me honest. Good luck to you! And, so glad you added your lovely card to the Fusion Challenge. The white four-petal dies look great!
