I have been making cards...

I have been making cards, I just haven't taken the time to photograph and share them.  I'm still not overly confident about their quality but I'm sharing them any was.

First up is a card that I made this morning for CASology, the cue word is apple.  I didn't know if I had any apple stamps but then I remembered I had this old Stapmpin' Up set called Country Collection and it had a small basket of apples.  I tried VersaFine inc for the first time and I am loving it.  I colored the image in with some Copics.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
The next card is based on the sketch for Sweet Sunday sketch 192.  My blade on my Fiskars cutter must be dull because I ended up with distressed looking edges, I don't really like that.  I stamped by Hexagon background from Hero Arts in VersaMark.  Used some Washi tape, added a sentiment from Inkadinkadoo.  The butterflies were cut from the paint chip samples left over from my Tuesday Trigger card.

The next card is a fun Halloween card, I made it from a sketch but I honestly don't know which one.  This is paper from my stash, a stamp from Stampin Up - Say it Simply and Pumpkin StazOn ink.
The last card was for another challenge that I missed the deadline on (I don't remember which one this was for either).  I used Studio Calico wood veneer arrows, I ran them over my Memento Bahama Blue and London Fog stamp pads.  I added washi tape and stamped some sentiments.  I messed up and smudged some red ink on the card, so I decided to add some splatters from my water color pencils in red, blue and gray.

That's all I have for now.  The Iowa Hawkeyes are playing football now, my husband and son are at the game while my daughter and I have a girls day.  I may have more cards later today.  Thanks for looking!

  1. Great clean design - love all the 'white space' and the focus on your apple image is enhanced by the darker strip! Great job! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!
