Happy 2014! This year started out great because we rang in the new year with some great friends! Yesterday was a football day and although our team did not win (the Iowa Hawkeyes) there were some great games played. I'm going to start the new year with a card and a layout that I made today. First up is the card, it's for the Fusion Card Challenge . I chose to use both the photo and the sketch and I'm very happy with how the card turned out. I need to do more scrapbooking this year, I am 6 years behind. The bad part about it is that my memory is horrible, I don't remember the specifics of most of the events. Oh well, at least I've got pictures for my kids to see and they love to look at their scrapbooks. Speaking of pictures, that's one of my New Year's resolutions. 10 Minute Craft Dash #24

My next challenge today was the 10 Minute Craft Dash . This is only the second time that I have participated, I learned from the last time to be a bit more prepared so I had all of my paper out and I knew what size I was going to cut each of them. I didn't know if I was crazy to try to color my image, but it went fine. So in 7 minutes 35.4 seconds I made this Thanks for looking!

Happy 2016

One of my resolutions this year is to participate in more challenges. So, I'm starting out with one card for 2 challenges. The first challenge is Color My Heart Color Dare . The Close To My Heart colors to use were Desert Sand, New England Ivy and Poppy. I'm using an old CTMH set - Pretty Petals. The second challenge is Just Us Girls Challenge .
